Half Man Half Biscuit

"McIntyre, Treadmore and Davitt" is the third original album by British rock band Half Man Half Biscuit, released in 1991 after the band's reformation in 1990. The album's title and cover art are inspired by the Ripping Yarns episode "Golden Gordon." Critical reception was mixed. Stewart Mason from AllMusic noted that although the songs were slower and longer, this allowed frontman Nigel Blackwell to explore more complex and layered lyrics. In contrast, Danny Scott from Select remarked that the band seemed to have lost some of their sharp wit, comparing them to "rock's sad, old game-show hosts," with only a couple of tracks retaining their earlier sarcasm.
