"Going, Going..." is the ninth studio album by the English rock band The Wedding Present, released on September 2, 2016, in the UK and December 2, 2016, in the US through their record label, Scopitones. The album is a double multimedia release featuring 20 songs, with each track accompanied by its own video. It also serves as a travelogue, documenting a journey across North America.
Going, Going... followed four years after The Wedding Present's previous album, Valentina. David Gedge aimed to create something distinct from a typical album, choosing a format of interconnected pieces. In 2014, he traveled across America with photographer Jessica McMillan, creating a series of films. Gedge explains that the process involved developing the music alongside these visuals, experimenting with various ideas to see how they would work together.
