The Wolfgang Press

"Funky Little Demons" is the fifth and final studio album released by British post-punk band, The Wolfgang Press. This album was launched on January 30, 1995, by 4AD, a British independent record label. The band, known for their experimental style, introduced an electronic dance influence into this album, making a departure from their previous alternative rock and post-punk sound. The album comprises 11 tracks, including the dance club hit, "Going South." Some other notable tracks are "Chains" and "Christianity." The record is known for its dark themes and experimental edge, characterized by a unique blend of synthetic beats, soulful lyrics, and avant-garde textures. Music critics applauded its bold approach to genre-blending and its lyrical depth. The Wolfgang Press, originating from London, consisted of members Michael Allen (vocals, bass), Mark Cox (keyboards), and Andrew Gray (guitar), and they were active from 1983 till 1995. During their flourishing years, they were considered critical players in the British alternative music scene. After the release of "Funky Little Demons", the band unfortunately disbanded, making this album their final offering to the music industry.
