The La's

"The La's" is the only studio album by the English rock band The La's, released on 1 October 1990 by Go! Discs. It includes "There She Goes," the group's biggest hit, and "Timeless Melody". Even though the record received positive reviews, the band wasn't completely satisfied with its sound, which resulted in their breakup in 1992 and their refusal to release subsequent albums. Despite significant sessions with renowned producers, the band members were unhappy with the version eventually chosen for release. Notably, the album's popularity grew through word of mouth as it initially struggled to garner commercial success. However, it eventually reached number 30 on the UK Albums Chart and has now gained a reputation as a significant album in the history of British rock music. The album's most recognizable song, "There She Goes," has been covered by various artists and has featured in several movies and TV shows. In retrospect, "The La's" is highly influential and generally well-regarded, often being included in 'greatest albums' music lists.
