Can

"Saw Delight" is an album by the German experimental rock band Can. This iconic album was released in 1977 and is the ninth studio album of the band. The album marked a significant shift in the band's sound as it incorporated elements of world music with more emphasis on bass and percussion. It was one of the first to prominently feature newly joined band members Rosko Gee and Rebop Kwaku Baah, who had previously been members of the band Traffic. "Saw Delight" also serves as the last Can album to feature founding bassist and key composer Holger Czukay, albeit in a much diminished capacity. Instead of playing bass, as had been his primary instrument, Czukay is relegated to making various sound effects on the album. The album includes a total of six tracks with "Animal Waves" and "Fly By Night" being two of the most well-known ones. Despite being far from the band's most celebrated work, possibly due to the lineup changes and evolution in their sound, "Saw Delight" still offers a fascinating snapshot of Can's musical journey and is a notable entry in their discography.
