"Raise Vibration" is the eleventh studio album by American rock musician Lenny Kravitz, released on September 7, 2018, through Roxie Records via BMG Rights Management. The album produced seven singles.
Lenny Kravitz's Raise Vibration is notable for its socially-conscious themes, tackling issues like corporate greed, political corruption, and racism. Kravitz revealed that he faced significant writer's block while working on the album but managed to create a collection of twelve compositions that reflect these global concerns.
Kravitz played most of the instruments himself, with contributions from longtime guitarist Craig Ross and keyboardist/orchestrator David Baron, along with additional string and horn players.
The album produced four singles. "It's Enough!" addresses societal issues such as corporate greed and racism. "Low," the follow-up single, delves into themes of sensuality and past relationships, featuring vocal extracts from Michael Jackson. It was released about six weeks before the album and accompanied by a video.
"5 More Days 'Til Summer" was the third single, offering a more upbeat contrast to the previous tracks. The fourth single, "Johnny Cash," pays tribute to the legendary country singer, reflecting on a personal encounter Kravitz had with Cash and his wife, June Carter, in 1995.
Raise Vibration was recorded on Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas, where Kravitz has been a long-time resident and has previously noted that many of his songs were composed during his stays there.
