Einstürzende Neubauten

"Haus der Lüge" is the fifth album by the German avant-garde industrial band Einstürzende Neubauten. The album was initially released in 1989. The title translates into English as "House of the Lie," and it follows the band's exploration of music generated from unconventional objects such as metal, glass, and building tools. This signature style has helped define the band’s unique sound. The album is often noted for the complexity and experimental nature of its music, representing a departure from the band’s earlier, more destructive style. It contains six songs, including the title track, "Haus der Lüge." Other songs on the album include "Feurio!," "Ein Stuhl in der Hölle," "Epilog," "Fiat Lux," and "Schwindel." The band members involved in this album were Blixa Bargeld, Mark Chung, F.M. Einheit, Alexander Hacke, and N.U. Unruh. It is a very important work in their discography as it shows a new maturity and sophistication in their production. While recording "Haus der Lüge," Einstürzende Neubauten decided to opt for traditional instruments and song structures over their usual noise-oriented sound. This decision marked a turning point in their career and the album is highly acclaimed for its experimental approach to the concept of music. "Haus der Lüge" is a significant part of the Einstürzende Neubauten discography, showing a band pushing musical boundaries and exploring new sonic landscapes.
