"This Is What I Do" is a 2013 album by Boy George, produced by Richie Stevens. This release marked the first time since the mid-1990s that a sober George completed a full-length album. It received positive reviews, with The Guardian calling it "the best comeback of the year." The album was notable for being Boy George's first solo effort to reach the UK Top 40 since his debut, Sold, in 1987.
Three promotional tracks were released with accompanying videos: "King of Everything," "My God," and "Nice and Slow." To support the album, George embarked on a UK tour in November 2013, featuring The Featherz as support. The band's lead singer, Danie Cox, appeared in the videos for the promotional singles. A further tour took place in April 2014. In an interview, George mentioned that the music of the 70s, which deeply influenced him, is reflected in the album's sound and attitude.
In 2015, a dub version titled This Is What I Dub Volume 1 was shared on SoundCloud. This version was later released as a limited CD in 2020 and made available on major streaming platforms. It features collaborations with artists such as Sinead O'Connor and George Clinton.
