Thin Lizzy

"Live and Dangerous" is a live double album by the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy, released in June 1978. The album was recorded at concerts in London (1976), Philadelphia, and Toronto (1977), with additional production in Paris. This was the last album to feature guitarist Brian Robertson, who left the band shortly after its release. The decision to release a live album came about when producer Tony Visconti couldn't commit to a full studio session. The band selected recordings from earlier tours and compiled the best versions for the album. Studio overdubs were added to the live recordings in early 1978, although the extent of these overdubs has been debated. The album achieved significant success, reaching No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and selling over half a million copies in the UK. It has received critical acclaim and is frequently listed among the greatest live albums of all time.
