Ph.D.

"Three" is the third and final studio album by the British rock band Ph.D. The album was released posthumously in 2009, following the band's dissolution in 1983 and the death of band member Jim Diamond in 2015. Despite the band's breakup, "Three" is a collection of ten previously unissued tracks recorded by Ph.D. during their career, providing a priceless contribution to their musical repertoire. Ph.D., best recognized for their 1982 hit "I Won't Let You Down," consisted of members Jim Diamond (vocacist), Tony Hymas (keyboardist) and Simon Phillips (drummer). Their distinctive sound was a sophisticated blend of synth-pop and rock. Though Ph.D. had a short career, their music made a significant impact and "Three" provides fans a final look into their unique musicality.
