"The Honeydrippers: Volume One" is a mini-album released on September 24, 1984, led by rock singer Robert Plant. The project began when Atlantic Records president Ahmet Ertegun wanted to record his favorite 1950s songs, and he chose Plant after seeing his band, the Honeydrippers, perform these standards. The lineup featured notable musicians, including Nile Rodgers, Paul Shaffer, and former Yardbirds guitarists Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, Plant's ex-bandmate from Led Zeppelin.
Plant has described this album as his personal favorite project. In 2007, it was re-released in a remastered edition, which included a live version of "Rockin' at Midnight" as a bonus track. Although there were discussions for a follow-up album, plans were ultimately abandoned after Ertegun's passing in December 2006.
