"Worst Case Scenario" is the debut studio album by the Belgian rock band dEUS, released in 1994. The album's cover art was designed by guitarist Rudy Trouvé. It includes the single "Suds & Soda," which gained underground popularity and became a fan favorite. The album was initially released in Belgium on the indie label Bang! with a different track listing. In this version, "Right as Rain" and "Great American Nude" (both tracks featured on the Zea EP released in Belgium in 1993) were replaced by "Let Go." The UK and European releases through Island Records featured the revised track listing. One notable aspect of the album is the song "W.C.S. (First Draft)," which incorporates a bass line from Frank Zappa's "Little Umbrellas" from his 1969 album Hot Rats. Despite challenges in categorizing its genre, with British media labeling it as Art rock—a term that still irks lead singer Tom Barman—Worst Case Scenario received favorable international reviews. The album achieved Gold status in Belgium, selling 30,000 copies, and by April 2008, it had sold 270,000 copies worldwide.
