"At His Best" is a compilation album by American singer-songwriter Rodriguez. Initially released exclusively in Australia by Blue Goose Music in 1977, the album became more widely known due to unauthorized bootleg copies going platinum in South Africa during the late 1970s.
The album features tracks such as "Can't Get Away," "I'll Slip Away," and "Street Boy," originally recorded for Rodriguez's unfinished third studio album. These tracks were later included as bonus tracks on the 2009 U.S. re-issue of his second studio album, "Coming from Reality." Despite its modest beginnings, "At His Best" played a significant role in introducing Rodriguez's music to a broader audience, particularly in South Africa where it achieved considerable success through bootleg circulation.
