Prince

"Come" is Prince's fifteenth studio album, released on August 16, 1994, by Warner Bros. Records. This album marked a tumultuous period in Prince's career, as he was embroiled in a public dispute with his label, Warner Bros. The conflict resulted in minimal promotion for the album from both the label and Prince himself, leading to a lackluster performance on the American charts where it peaked at No. 15. This was the first time since his 1981 album Controversy that Prince did not have a top 10 single in the US. Despite its underperformance in the US, Come achieved significant success internationally, reaching the top 10 across Europe and topping the UK Albums Chart. The album's release was pivotal as it was Prince's final album under his name with Warner Bros. For the remainder of his contract, he used the unpronounceable "Love Symbol" and was known in the media as "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince."
