The xx

"I See You" is the third studio album by British indie band The xx, which was released on 13th January 2017, through the Young Turks imprint. For this album, the band chose to experiment with a more expansive and upbeat production approach than their previous works, deliberately seeking out an unfamiliar studio space in Marfa, Texas where they could experiment freely. The album was produced by band member Jamie xx and longtime collaborator Rodaidh McDonald. It features various musical influences including electronic, pop and R&B, which complements their signature mix of indie pop, indie electronic, dream pop, and indietronica. "I See You" received both critical and commercial success. Critics praised the band’s sonic evolution while maintaining their minimalist style. It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and number two on the Billboard 200 in the United States, the band's highest-charting album in the country to date. The opening track, "Dangerous," earned the band their first Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording. Other prominent tracks include "On Hold" and "Say Something Loving". "I See You" represents a transformative period in the band’s evolution and stands as The xx's most decorated work to date.
