The album also includes a cover of Talk Talk's 1984 hit "It's My Life," which was the only new track on the compilation. This cover of "It's My Life" was released as a single and became a notable hit for the band.
Released alongside The Singles 1992–2003 was Rock Steady Live, a DVD capturing a concert from the band's Rock Steady tour in 2002. Additionally, a box set titled Boom Box was released, which included the greatest hits album, a collection of the band's music videos, and live performances, offering a comprehensive look at their career up to that point.
The album marked a significant milestone in No Doubt's career. In 2003, the band took a hiatus after the release of Rock Steady to spend time with their families and allow lead singer Gwen Stefani to focus on her solo music career.
