"Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action" is the fourth studio album by Scottish indie rock band Franz Ferdinand, released on August 26, 2013, in the UK and on August 27 in the US through Domino Recording Company. It is the band's first studio album since Tonight: Franz Ferdinand (2009) and their last to feature guitarist Nick McCarthy.
The album was recorded in various studios throughout 2013 and features contributions from several musicians. It continues the dance-oriented sound introduced on Tonight, with a focus on creating a generally positive and uplifting tone. Frontman Alex Kapranos, who also produced the album, described it as the band's "most positive record," reflecting both the album's mood and the band's atmosphere during recording.
Upon release, the album received generally favorable reviews from critics and achieved notable commercial success. It reached the top 10 in several countries, including a peak at number 2 in Scotland and number 6 in the UK. Six singles were released from the album: "Right Action," "Love Illumination," "Evil Eye," "Bullet," "Fresh Strawberries," and "Stand on the Horizon."
