"Blood" is a dub version compilation album by the Scottish indie rock band Franz Ferdinand. It was first released in March 2009 in the United Kingdom, through Domino Records. The album is a collection of dub versions of songs from their third studio album, "Tonight: Franz Ferdinand".
Unlike the band's usual rock sound, "Blood" veers towards electronic dub, giving a new spin to the songs from 'Tonight.' It comprises nine tracks, including dub versions of popular songs such as "Ulysses," "No You Girls," and "Send Him Away". However, the song order is different from the original album.
Franz Ferdinand, known for their rhythmic, angular rock music, are frequent experimenters, and "Blood" serves as an evidence to their ability to venture into new genres. Despite its unique concept, the album may primarily appeal to die-hard fans of the band or those with an interest in dub music.
Please note that this album should not be confused with "Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action," another album by Franz Ferdinand, which includes a track also titled "Blood".
