Air

"Love 2" is the seventh studio album by French electronic music duo Air, released on 30 September 2009. It saw a return to Air working alone, without producers or guest artists, and marked the first time they had used vocals in their songs since the 2004 album "Talkie Walkie". Both members Jean-Benoît Dunckel and Nicolas Godin have called the album a mix of the two sides of Air; the rollicking, humorous early French pop influences of the band's youth, and the put-together, well-produced work they are known for now. The album includes tracks like "Do The Joy", "Love", and "Tropical Disease". It was mixed at Gang Studio, Paris and produced by Air and mixed by Stéphane "Alf" Briat. The album was generally well-received by critics, who praised the band's return to a simpler, less cluttered sound, as well as the quality of the album's production. However, some critics found the album lacking in energy, and criticized its length. The album peaked at number 36 on the Billboard 200 and number two on the French Albums Chart.
