Take That

"Take That & Party" is the debut studio album by British boy band Take That. It was released in the UK on 17 August 1992 by RCA Records. The album includes Take That's breakthrough single "Do What U Like" and follow up "Promises", along with their successful hit "It Only Takes a Minute". However, the album gained popularity following the release of the ballad "A Million Love Songs". The band, which was formed in 1989, consisted of five members: Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, and Mark Owen. With Gary Barlow acting as the main vocalist and songwriter, the band quickly became one of the most popular groups in the UK, seen as Britain's answer to American boy bands of the era. Upon its release, "Take That & Party" received mainly positive reviews and was a commercial success in the UK where it debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart and subsequently gained multi-platinum status. The album also produced seven British top 5 singles, making the group a household name within a short span of time.
