Barbra Streisand

"A Love Like Ours" is the twenty-eighth studio album by Barbra Streisand, released in North America on September 21, 1999, and in Europe a day earlier. This album marked her 23rd Top 10 entry on the US charts and was significant as it was her first release following her marriage to actor James Brolin, with much of the material reflecting this personal milestone. The disc booklet includes images of the couple, enhancing the album's intimate theme. Despite debuting at No. 6 in the US with initial sales of 145,000 copies, it did not reach the same commercial heights as her previous albums, though it eventually received Gold and Platinum certifications. One notable track, "We Must Be Loving Right," was originally recorded by George Strait for his 1993 album Easy Come, Easy Go, with both versions produced by Tony Brown. The album features the duet "If You Ever Leave Me," performed with country star Vince Gill, which was released to country radio and peaked at No. 62 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, remaining there for six weeks. In the UK, the single reached No. 26. Another track, "I've Dreamed of You," was also released, achieving a peak position of No. 22 on the Billboard Hot Single Sales chart and No. 12 on the Hot Canadian Digital Singles chart, showcasing Streisand's continued relevance across multiple music markets.
