"Songbird" is Barbra Streisand's twentieth studio album, released in 1978. The title track reached number 25 on the Hot 100 and spent two weeks atop the adult contemporary chart. Notably, the album features Streisand's solo rendition of "You Don't Bring Me Flowers." Later, she recorded a duet version with Neil Diamond, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for two non-consecutive weeks in December 1978. In the United States, the album achieved Platinum certification for sales of over 1,000,000 copies. Streisand was awarded this distinction at a CBS convention in Los Angeles.
