"What About Today?" is Barbra Streisand's eleventh studio album, released in July 1969. It marked a departure for Streisand as she ventured into recording contemporary pop songs, featuring covers of tracks by The Beatles and Paul Simon, among others.
The album produced two singles: "Frank Mills," with "Punky's Dilemma" as the B-side, and "Little Tin Soldier," which featured "Honey Pie" on the flip side. "Little Tin Soldier" reached number 35 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary music chart.
Despite being re-released in 1993 as part of the "Barbra Streisand Collection," which included eleven of her albums on compact disc, "What About Today?" did not achieve commercial success like Streisand's earlier releases. It is one of only three studio albums by Streisand, along with "Barbra Streisand...and Other Musical Instruments" and "What Matters Most," not to receive sales certification worldwide.
