Skid Row

"Revolutions per Minute" is the fifth full-length studio album by the American hard rock band Skid Row. Released on October 24, 2006, under SPV Records, it introduces a change in the band's musical style, veering away from their traditional heavy metal tunes to experiment with punk rock and country influences. The album was produced by Michael Wagener, who previously worked with the band on their first two albums. Despite the noticeable change in genre, the album still incorporates Skid Row's characteristic attitudes. The band lineup included Johnny Solinger (lead vocals), Scotti Hill (lead guitar, backing vocals), Dave 'Snake' Sabo (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Rachel Bolan (bass, backing vocals), and Dave Gara (drums). "Revolutions per Minute" received mix critical reviews upon its release. Although it didn't achieve as commercial success as Skid Row's earlier efforts, the band was praised for its daring departure from their original sound and for showcasing their versatility as musicians. Staying true to their renowned rebelliousness, the lyrics tackled a wide array of topics, from their collective disdain for society's issues to their reflections on personal themes of love and relationships. Standout tracks included "Disease", "Another Dick in the System", and "You Lie".
