Boston

"Life, Love & Hope" is the sixth studio album by the American rock band, Boston. Released on December 3, 2013, this album marks the band's first new studio release in eleven years since the arrival of their 2002 album, "Corporate America". "Life, Love & Hope" contains 11 tracks and includes material that took leader Tom Scholz a decade to compile and arrange. The album is a mixture of the band's classic sound with elements of progressive rock, incorporating themes of love, hope, and life itself. The record includes contributions from Brad Delp, the band's original vocalist who sadly committed suicide in 2007. His vocals are featured on three of the album's songs. Aside from Delp, the album features other various guest vocalists such as Kimberley Dahme, Tommy DeCarlo, and David Victor. The album received mixed reviews from critics, with some appreciating the melding of old and new sounds, while others criticized it for being over-produced, and lacking the earlier passion Boston was known for. Despite the critical response, the album achieved moderate commercial success, debuting at number 37 on the Billboard 200 chart.
