"Great Grape" is a compilation album released by Columbia Records in 1972, featuring songs from three of Moby Grape's albums on the Columbia label: "Moby Grape," "Wow," and "Moby Grape '69." Speculation surrounds Columbia's motive for releasing this album, with suggestions that it aimed to capitalize on renewed interest in Moby Grape sparked by the band's recent studio release, "20 Granite Creek," on Reprise Records. Interestingly, while the album was issued on 8-track tape, it never saw release on cassette tape for reasons unknown.
