"Clapton Chronicles: The Best of Eric Clapton" is a compilation album by English rock musician Eric Clapton, released in the United States on 12 October 1999. The album features a selection of Clapton’s hit singles from his 1980s Reprise Records period. It also includes one new track, "Blue Eyes Blue" which was released as a single; originally written for the 1999 film "Runaway Bride". The album has achieved multi-platinum success in various countries. The album spans the years of Clapton's resurgence during the late-1980s to the late 1990s. During this time, his multi-platinum albums "Journeyman," "Unplugged" and "From The Cradle," as well as his Grammy-winning chart-toppers "Tears In Heaven" and "Change The World," effectively sealed his stature as a revered musical talent and perennial commercial success.
