"Everybody's Angel" is the third studio album by British pop/folk singer-songwriter Tanita Tikaram. It was released in 1991 by East West Records.
The album explores a variety of musical styles while maintaining Tikaram's trademark poetic lyrics. The album features duets with famous musician Mark Knopfler on two of the tracks, "Hot Stones" and "Men & Women". It also features Rod Argent, who is best known as the founder and keyboardist of the English rock band The Zombies. This collaboration brings a unique flavor to the album.
"Everybody's Angel" follows the success of Tikaram's previous record, "The Sweet Keeper", and continues her trend of blending elements of folk, pop, and adult contemporary music. Despite being met with mixed critical reception at the time, the album has stood the test of time and holds a special place in Tikaram's discography for many of her fans.
While it did not achieve the massive commercial success of her debut, "Ancient Heart", "Everybody's Angel" is a testament to Tikaram's growth as a songwriter and her ability to beautifully discuss complex emotions and topics in her music.
The album's most successful single was "Only The Ones We Love". This track perfectly encapsulates the earnest and heartfelt songwriting style that Tikaram is known for.
