"Gold Dust" is the 13th solo studio album by Tori Amos, released on October 1, 2012, through Deutsche Grammophon and Mercury Classics. Produced by Amos herself, the album features arrangements by her long-time collaborator John Philip Shenale. Building on the classical music influences of her previous album "Night of Hunters" (2011), "Gold Dust" revisits Amos's earlier alternative rock and baroque pop songs, presenting them in new orchestral arrangements.
Recorded with the Metropole Orchestra and conducted by Jules Buckley, the album includes selections from Amos's extensive catalog spanning from "Little Earthquakes" (1992) to "Midwinter Graces" (2009). This orchestral treatment transforms familiar tracks into lush, symphonic compositions, showcasing Amos's distinctive voice alongside intricate and dramatic musical arrangements.
