"Bon Iver, Bon Iver" is the second studio album by American indie folk band Bon Iver, released on June 21, 2011(US). The album marked a new musical direction for the band and consists of 10 songs. It achieved commercial success, debuting at number one on the Norwegian Albums Chart and the Danish Albums Chart, and reaching number two on the US Billboard 200 chart. In its first week, the album sold 104,000 copies in the United States alone, and as of September 2016, it has sold a total of 629,000 copies in the US. Critically acclaimed, "Bon Iver, Bon Iver" was lauded by critics and recognized as one of the best albums of 2011. At the 2012 Grammy Awards, the album won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album, and the song "Holocene" was nominated for both Song of the Year and Record of the Year.
