"Hardcore Jollies" is the ninth studio album by funk rock band Funkadelic, released on October 29, 1976, by Warner Bros. Records, marking their first album on a major label. Dedicated to "the guitar players of the world," the album initially featured sides titled "Osmosis Phase 1" and "Terribitus Phase 2." It was released shortly after Funkadelic's last album with Westbound Records, Tales of Kidd Funkadelic, which was recorded during the same sessions.
Hardcore Jollies is notable for being the last studio album to include original members of The Parliaments: Fuzzy Haskins, Calvin Simon, and Grady Thomas. Although uncredited, guitarist Eddie Hazel contributed instrumental performances on the album. Over the years, Hardcore Jollies has been reissued on compact disc by Charly Groove Records and Priority Records, preserving its influential sound and legacy in funk music.
