"Electric" is the twelfth studio album by the English synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, released on 14 July 2013 through their own label, x2, via Kobalt Label Services. This album marked their first release following their departure from Parlophone.
Upon its release in the United Kingdom, "Electric" was BBC Radio 2's Album of the Week starting from 8 July 2013. The album includes a collaboration with English singer and rapper Example.
In terms of chart performance, "Electric" reached number three on the UK Albums Chart, marking one of the duo's highest chart positions in their native country in two decades. In the United States, it peaked at number 26 on the Billboard 200, also their highest position there in 20 years. The album achieved strong sales and reception in other international markets as well.
To support the album, Pet Shop Boys embarked on the Electric Tour, which included 112 concerts across 46 countries. The tour was a significant undertaking and underscored the album's global appeal and success.
