The Chemical Brothers

"Brotherhood (The Definitive Singles Collection)" is a compilation album by the English electronic dance music duo The Chemical Brothers, released on 1 September 2008. This album serves as their second greatest hits compilation, following "Singles 93–03" from 2003. The first disc of "Brotherhood" features thirteen of the duo's hit singles, including popular tracks like "Block Rockin' Beats" and "Hey Boy Hey Girl". It also includes two new songs: "Midnight Madness" and "Keep My Composure", which features a guest appearance by the rap group Spank Rock. The second disc of the compilation is devoted to all ten parts of The Chemical Brothers' "Electronic Battle Weapon" series. These mixes, initially intended for DJ use, were first introduced in 1996 and are known for their experimental and electronic soundscapes. "Brotherhood" was preceded by the digital release of "Midnight Madness", a shortened version of "Electronic Battle Weapon 10". The album was supported by a series of live performances across Europe in July and August 2008. Additionally, fans were encouraged to contribute user-generated content related to the music through Google Earth, with selected submissions being incorporated into the official music video edited by producers Nexus.
