"Dead Man Walkin'" is a compilation album released by Death Row Records on October 31, 2000, featuring archived recordings by Snoop Dogg. The album was not authorized by Snoop Dogg and is not recognized in his official discography. He was signed to Death Row from 1991 to 1998, leaving the label after Dr. Dre's departure and the death of 2Pac. The relationship between Snoop Dogg and Death Row head Suge Knight was contentious, and the album's title served as a hostile warning from Knight to Snoop, who had criticized him in interviews and music. Despite the lack of initial authorization, Snoop Dogg acquired the rights to the album following his purchase of Death Row Records in 2022. The album received various professional ratings, including a 7/10 from RapReviews. According to SoundScan, it sold 220,478 copies by 2005. A music video was released for the track "Head Doctor." Additionally, the song "Change Gone Come," featuring vocals from Val Young, first appeared on the 1998 compilation SmokeFest World Tour and was also included in the 1999 compilation Well Connected.
