"Beastie Boys Anthology: The Sounds of Science" is the first anthology album by American rap rock group Beastie Boys, consisting of greatest hits, B-sides, and previously unreleased tracks. The retail release features a tri-fold sleeve displaying many of the band's album covers, along with a booklet of liner notes. The title of the anthology is taken from the song "The Sounds of Science," which appears on their second album, Paul's Boutique.
In addition to the retail version, customers could also purchase a custom edition of the album through mail order from the band's label, Grand Royal. This version included additional B-sides and rarities.
