Beastie Boys

"Beastie Boys Music" is a compilation album by the American hip hop group Beastie Boys. It was released on October 23, 2020, by Capitol Records. The album features 20 of the band's biggest hits, including “No Sleep Till Brooklyn,” “Intergalactic,” “Sabotage,” and “Fight for Your Right.” The album serves as a companion piece to Beastie Boys Book and Beastie Boys Story and is a collection of the band's songs from across their career. The styling of the album covers a variety of musical genres, reflecting the diverse, genre-defying nature of the Beastie Boys' discography. As for the background, the Beastie Boys were formed in the early 1980s in New York City, featuring members Michael "Mike D" Diamond, Adam "MCA" Yauch, and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz. They broke into mainstream success with their debut album "Licensed to Ill" in 1986, and continually evolved their sound over their career, blending elements of hip hop, punk, funk, jazz, and rock. The group disbanded after the death of member MCA in 2012. Their influence on music, pop culture, and their genre-defying approach to their work has ensured their position as one of the most important and influential hip hop groups.
