"Time for Heroes – The Best of The Libertines" is a greatest hits collection by the English rock band The Libertines, released in October 2007 on Rough Trade Records. This album marks the first release from the group since their split, which followed a decline in the relationship between Pete Doherty and the other band members after the single "What Became of the Likely Lads" in October 2004.
The compilation does not include previously unreleased material, except for the iTunes edition. It features non-album singles like "What a Waster" and "Don't Look Back into the Sun," as well as several b-sides such as "Mayday," "The Delaney," and a re-recording of "Death on the Stairs," many of which appeared as bonus tracks on various editions of the band's albums. Notably, the compilation was created without any input from the band members themselves.
