"Anthems for Doomed Youth" is the third studio album by the English garage rock band The Libertines, released on September 11, 2015. The album includes literary references in its tracks, notably "Anthem for Doomed Youth" and "Gunga Din," which allude to poems by Wilfred Owen and Rudyard Kipling, respectively. "Gunga Din" was the album's first single, released on July 2, 2015, followed by the second single, "Glasgow Coma Scale Blues," on August 20, 2015. The success of the album led to multiple European tours from 2015 to 2019.
"Anthems for Doomed Youth" was released in three formats: Digital, CD, and Vinyl. In addition, a Deluxe Edition was made available on CD and digitally, featuring extra tracks. A special box set included the Deluxe CD, a Vinyl copy, exclusive film content, and signed art prints. To celebrate the album's release, The Libertines organized a week of events titled "Somewhere Over the Railings," which mainly took place at Camden's Dublin Castle venue.
