Ian Brown

"Solarized" is the fourth solo album by Ian Brown, former lead singer of The Stone Roses. It was released in the United Kingdom on September 13, 2004. The album continues Brown's exploration of alternative rock and incorporates a range of influences, showcasing his distinctive style and musical evolution following his tenure with The Stone Roses. "Solarized" is Ian Brown's fourth solo album, released on September 13, 2004, and marks the first release on the revived Polydor imprint Fiction Records. Notably, the Canadian and Australian editions of the album omit the track "Happy Ever After," while the North American edition features an exclusive bonus track, "Lovebug." The song "Happy Ever After" gained some prominence by being featured in an episode of Top Gear during the review of the 2007 Jaguar XK. It was also used in Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and in adverts for Law & Order: UK. Originally, Solarized was not released on vinyl. However, it was later made available as a limited edition vinyl release of 2000 copies in April 2016, as part of Record Store Day.
