"There's Nothing Wrong with Love" is the second full-length album by the American indie rock band Built to Spill, released on September 13, 1994, by Up Records. Recorded in May and June of 1994 and produced by Phil Ek, the album includes notable tracks like "Car" and "Dystopian Dream Girl," which were released as singles. This album marks the only appearance of drummer Andy Capps and the first featuring bassist Brett Nelson. In 2015, Sub Pop reissued the album on vinyl.
"There's Nothing Wrong with Love" by Built to Spill is often regarded as a concept album centered around the theme of growing up. The lyrics explore various aspects of adolescence and maturity, ranging from childhood experiences like touching a girl’s thumb during a game of seven-up to reflections on cultural icons such as David Bowie. The track "Twin Falls" is named after a town in Idaho.
Frontman Doug Martsch later mentioned that this album was created during a time when he felt less pressure about its reception, which he felt influenced the music-making process. The music video for "In the Morning" was notably featured on the show Beavis and Butt-head. The album also includes an unlisted final track that humorously previews the next Built to Spill album with fictional clips, none of which are actual songs by the band.
