"The Very Best of the Eagles" is the fifth compilation album by the Eagles, initially released on July 11, 1994, by Elektra Records in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. In Australia, it was also available as a limited edition Gold CD tied to an Australian tour. The album features a collection of the band's greatest hits and was reissued in May 2001 with the same track list but in a different order after remastering.
Although not released in the United States, the compilation was successful internationally, reaching the top 10 on album charts in nine countries. It achieved gold certification in seven countries and platinum status in three, reflecting its popularity and enduring appeal outside the US.
