Eagles

"Eagles" marks the debut studio album by the American rock band of the same name. Recorded at London's Olympic Studios with producer Glyn Johns, it was released on June 1, 1972. The album quickly found success, reaching No. 22 on the Billboard 200 chart and earning a platinum certification from the RIAA. Featuring three hit singles – "Take It Easy," "Witchy Woman," and "Peaceful Easy Feeling" – all of which made it into the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, "Eagles" helped propel the band into stardom. Notably, "Take It Easy" became a quintessential rock anthem and secured a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's "500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll." The album's influence and significance were further recognized when it was ranked at No. 368 in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" in 2012, and later at No. 207 in the 2020 reboot of the list. "Eagles" not only marked a successful debut for the band but also played a crucial role in popularizing the country rock sound, cementing its place in rock music history.
