The Who

"Who Are You" is the eighth studio album by the English rock band the Who, released on 21 August 1978. It was distributed by Polydor Records in the UK and MCA Records in the US. The album, although receiving mixed reviews from critics, was commercially successful, reaching number 2 on the US charts and number 6 on the UK charts. Notably, Who Are You was the band's final studio album to feature drummer Keith Moon, who passed away three weeks after the album's release. The cover of the album features a striking and somewhat ironic detail: the text "Not to Be Taken Away" is stencilled on Moon's chair, a poignant nod to his impending death. The album is recognized for its classic Who sound and features tracks such as the title track "Who Are You," which became one of their signature songs. The album's release marked the end of an era for the band and is often remembered as a significant and bittersweet moment in their history.
