Flash is the fifth studio album by guitarist Jeff Beck, released in July 1985 by Epic/CBS Records. The album reached No. 39 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and charted in the top 60 in four other countries.
The album produced two singles that charted successfully. The first single, "People Get Ready," featured a reunion with singer Rod Stewart, who had previously worked with Beck in the Jeff Beck Group. The cover of Curtis Mayfield/The Impressions' song reached No. 5 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart and No. 48 on the Hot 100, as well as making it into the top 40 in four other countries. The second single, "Gets Us All in the End," reached No. 20 on the Mainstream Rock chart.
One of the album's tracks, the instrumental "Escape," earned Beck the Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 1986 Grammys, marking the first of many such awards in his career.
