"Still" Sucks is the sixth studio album by American nu metal band Limp Bizkit, released on October 31, 2021, via Suretone Records. The album's development began in 2012 but faced numerous delays, resulting in a nine-year wait for new material. The lead single, "Dad Vibes," debuted at Lollapalooza in August 2021 and was officially released on September 30, marking the band's first new release in seven years.
After the 2011 album Gold Cobra, Limp Bizkit left Interscope Records due to creative differences and signed with Cash Money Records in 2012. The band initially planned to release new music but faced internal conflicts, including DJ Lethal's firing and later return, as well as ongoing dissatisfaction from frontman Fred Durst with the material.
By 2021, guitarist Wes Borland noted the struggles in finalizing the album, revealing that multiple songs had been recorded but often scrapped due to Durst's creative indecision. Despite these challenges, the band worked on tracks like "Ready to Go," featuring rapper Lil Wayne, and aimed to capture a more carefree and experimental sound compared to previous albums.
The album was announced multiple times over the years, encountering various setbacks and creative disputes. However, the eventual release of Still Sucks marked a return to form for Limp Bizkit, allowing them to reconnect with fans and showcase their evolution in sound.
