Stone Temple Pilots

"Thank You" is a greatest hits collection by the American rock band Stone Temple Pilots, released on November 11, 2003, by Atlantic Records. The album has sold over 500,000 copies, reflecting its popularity among fans and showcasing the band's legacy. The compilation includes most of Stone Temple Pilots' singles from throughout their career. There are two versions of Thank You: one that contains only a music CD, and another that also includes a DVD. The DVD features live performances, bootlegs, and music videos spanning the band's career. Notably, the DVD includes a performance of the Aerosmith song "Sweet Emotion" with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, adding a unique element to the collection for fans. Critics responded positively to the compilation. Thank You was described as "nearly perfect" by AllMusic's Stephen Erlewine, who noted that STP's music had "stood the test of time." Rolling Stone also gave the album a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Before Thank You was released, Stone Temple Pilots had planned an earlier greatest hits album titled Big Bang Babies, which was scheduled for an October 2000 release. This version would have included twelve of the band's biggest hits as well as four new songs, including "Heed the Water Whisperer," "The Way She Moves," and "You Can't Drive Me Away." The band had planned to record these new tracks in New York with producer Brendan O'Brien, but the project was ultimately shelved.
