Slowdive


"Just for a Day" is the debut studio album by the English rock band Slowdive, released on September 2, 1991, by Creation Records. Just for a Day was recorded at Courtyard Studios, formerly known as Georgetown Studios, located in Abingdon in the Thames Valley. Just for a Day was released on September 2, 1991, by Creation Records and peaked at number 32 on the UK Albums Chart. Prior to the album's release, the EP Holding Our Breath, which featured "Catch the Breeze" from the album, was issued on CD and 12" vinyl on June 3, 1991, along with a 7" vinyl single of "Catch the Breeze." In the United States, the album was released by SBK Records in 1992. On November 14, 2005, a remastered edition of Just for a Day was released by Sanctuary Records' subsidiary label Castle Music, including an extra disc with tracks from the band's first three EPs: Slowdive, Morningrise, and Holding Our Breath. Another remastered edition with the same bonus material was released by Cherry Red Records on August 16, 2010.
