Roxy Music

"Viva! Roxy Music" is a live album by the English rock band Roxy Music. Released in August 1976, it features performances from three different concerts on their tours from 1973, 1974 and 1975. The album marks the end of one phase of Roxy Music's development, being their last output before Bryan Ferry, the band’s lead vocalist, disbanded the group for a time in order to focus on his solo career. The musical style of "Viva! Roxy Music" is hybrid, combining elements of glam rock, art rock, and pop. The album is loved for its renditions of classics like "Do the Strand," "Out of the Blue," and "Both Ends Burning", showing off the band's excellent musicianship and live dynamics. The album made it to number 6 on the UK Album Charts. As of now, it remains Roxy Music's only official live album that was released when the band was active, creating a historical snapshot of their exciting live performances. Despite being recorded during different years and tours, the music on the album is cohesive, displaying the band's unique and progressive style.
