Peter Gabriel

"Peter Gabriel Revisited" is a compilation album that features selections from Peter Gabriel's first two solo albums. Released by Atlantic Records, the compilation includes 7 out of the 9 tracks from his self-titled debut album and 8 out of the 11 tracks from his second album. The compilation was created because Atlantic retained the U.S. distribution rights to Gabriel's early solo work. Despite its attempt to highlight some of his early material, Peter Gabriel Revisited received mixed reviews. AllMusic criticized the album as "good but useless," arguing that it didn't serve either committed Gabriel fans, who would already own the full albums, or casual listeners, who might find the selection incomplete and unsatisfying.
