"Death to the Pixies" is a compilation album by the American alternative rock band Pixies, released by 4AD in the UK on October 6, 1997, and by 4AD/Elektra the following day in the United States. The album commemorates the 10th anniversary of the band's debut, covering the years 1987 to 1991. It is now out of print, having been succeeded by the 2004 compilation Wave of Mutilation: Best of Pixies.
A limited edition of the compilation included a second CD featuring a live performance from Vredenburg, Utrecht, Netherlands, on September 25, 1990. Additionally, a rare version known as the "Golden Ticket" version was produced in small quantities, featuring two demos by Black Francis ("I'm Amazed" and "Broken Face"). These demos were recorded in producer Gary Smith's apartment the day before the band recorded their full demo at Smith's Fort Apache Studios.
The vinyl release contained all the tracks from the "Golden Ticket" version spread across four 10" records, featuring a different cover and limited to 9,000 copies. As of 2015, sales in the United States have exceeded 148,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
